Social Change Through Cultural Art Series: Intro (Part 1)

As I have been updating my logo and branding, I have decided to use “Felicia Follum Art: Social Change Through Cultural Art” as my business name and slogan/motto.

If you know me, my life and/or my work, you can pretty clearly tell where this phrase comes from. It is central to what I do and believe as a creator. However, if you don’t know me or are are new to following my work, who I am and what I do may be less clear at first glance.

I will share some of the background in this post but we will dig deeper in future posts.

Since middle school I have been very focused on sharing life and art with diverse people groups. Throughout high school and early on in college I discovered that art is one of the best ways to impact peoples lives for the better. Being an artist is a blessing. It is directly related to working with people and changing lives one piece and story at a time.

I am excited to share some of these stories with you in my next few blog posts. Join with me on this adventure as we discuss the ways that I have used the arts and will continue to use art to work with people in special and meaningful ways.
